Kipling and Plagiarism

(The normal news misinterpretted)

That Rudyard Kipling plagiarised parts of the Jungle Book,
I do not feel ditched at all, after all he worked so hard for giving me a good time reading.
For the bit he did and most of us do, plagiarism is a big word to use. There is always a difference between copying and getting inspired. A thin line that many of us fail to see.
You copy something as it is is  plagiarism but you read something somewhere and then you construe your set of meanings out of it is inspiration.

If every single thing would be rated as plagiarism like this then we all had a plagiaristic childhood and even our life will be a tell tale of plagiarism because every now and then we get inspired by someone, get full of awe and then try to imbibe that in our being.

Accept it, none of us is the omniscient, one who knows each and every thing in this world.
Somewhere and in something we lack and it is here that we read and fulfill our glitches.
Had it not been for this why would have  books been written, knowledge was always being passed over the generations through the word of mouth.

Civilisation is all about sharing the cognizance you developed over a time with those you coexist with; irrespective of whether you know them personally or not.
So let us please not blame the great writer of plagiarism. He read, got versed and expressed and made our childhood worthwhile.
For I believe and I know that most of the readers would echo it along, Jungle Book was actually that one book which made us think that maybe reading was worth giving a shot and that fantasies did exist.
